Performances on January 28th to 31st – early performances on Wednesday and Thursday (6.45 pm) and a matinee on Saturday (2.30 pm).
I bet you thought that Humpty Dumpty was a jolly, fat, well behaved little fellow. Well the Ashdown Pantomime’s 21st Birthday production of King Humpty Dumpty by Paul Reakes will make you think again.
Humpty is a rude, belligerent, naughty boy. His punishment is to be banished inside a huge egg – which becomes a tourist attraction at Eggton on Sea – where buxom Patsy runs a Bed and Breakfast establishment. Egged on by the evil Jinxit, someone is persuaded to release the prisoner – with drastic results – not least the Queen scrubbing her own floors!
Will good conquer evil? Will the love of a good girl make Humpty Dumpty turn from his wicked ways? The whole story will open up before your eyes against a background of sea, sun and sand to help cheer late January days.
Tickets will be available from Foresta Travel in Forest Row and Bull Frog Music in East Grinstead
Friday and Saturday are usually sell outs – with Saturday matinee being especially popular – so buy early! At £4.00 for children and £6.00 for adults it must be the bargain of the year….and NO VAT – Oh no there isn’t!!!
